Cooker Hoods
Enjoy odour free cooking with a top performing cooker hood.
Cooker hoods use extractor fans to remove steam and odours from your kitchen. They come in four main styles: Built-in/Integrated, Chimney, Freestanding and Island.
Cooker hoods are available from most major appliance manufacturers like AEG, Baumatic, Bosch, Elica, Neff and Rangemaster. They are available to suit all budgets, cheap cooker hoods typically start from £50 and models top out around £2000.
Cooker hoods come in various widths to match your cooking hob, the main sizes are 60cm, 90cm and 100cm. Various special finishes are available including glass and stainless steel.
Most Cooker hoods have two modes of operation, re circulating (where no external vent is required) and vented where you need ducting to vent the cooking smells outside. Most people go for the vented option because of the low maintenance and good performance. However, if you haven't got access to an external wall the recirculating is a good fall back option.
