Products
The Homebase product range is extensive. With thousands of products available for all your DIY and gardening needs, there is very little you won't find. Not only will you be able to shop premium brands like Farrow & Ball, Flymo and Dulux, Homebase often offer their own version of many products at a lower price. This leaves a number of options available to you when undertaking your next big home or garden project.
Delivery
Homebase offers a number of delivery options. Whilst some postcodes may require longer wait times, many retailers don't offer delivery at all to remote UK locations, so we appreciate this is still available. Named day delivery is perfect for those of us wanting to plan around our work life. Unless you spend £75, the cheapest delivery option is £6. This is fairly expensive and doesn't really become a viable option if you're only looking to get a small plumping part or spare delivered. Click & Collect is free and most products can be reading within the hour.
Returns and refunds
Homebase returns are available within 30 days. Taking your product into the store is the easiest way to get a refund, but getting something collected can be a tedious process. If you can't take your product to the store, you'll need to get in contact with customer services to arrange your return. We would definitely love it if this process could be made simpler with more return options.
Customer Services
Homebase offers strong customer services, with live chat and phone assistants available for you 7 days a week. You can also pop in to your nearest store to get assistance from an employee. There are a few things such as returns that we did wish didn't require contacting customer services, purely from the perspective of speed and convenience.
Carbon Footprint
Homebase takes part in a number of schemes to help the environment. In 2020, they partnered with Smart Energy GB to launch the first ever 'Green Aisle', a space you can find online and in stores that displays their most eco friendly products in one place. Homebase pack bedding plants are grown in trays made from recycled plastic bottles rather than polystyrene or black plastic and are fully recyclable. Homebase offers battery waste bins in its stores and their website offers a number of tips about energy saving and safe and environmentally appropriate disposal of things like paint and electrical waste.
About Homebase
One of the most recognised home improvement retailers and garden centres in the UK, Homebase was founded by Sainsburys back in 1979. Originally founded to bring the supermarket style layout to the DIY market, Homebase has long offered a wide selection of tools, garden accessories and fixings. Homebase has had a number of owners and financial troubles, with the first sale taking place in 2000, ending up in the hands of SChroder Ventures. In 2002, it was sold again, this time to GUS plc, before becoming part of the Argos Retail Group. In 2016, ownership was transferred to Wesfarmers before changing hands to Hilco in 2018. Since 2020 Homebase as enjoyed a return to profit, with most of its sales taking place through the website.

Whether you're looking to increase your storage with boxes, sheds and garden buildings, or stocking up on garden tools, you'll find almost anything you need here. Shop garden furniture, complete a project with fencing and decking, or entertain with BBQs, hot tubs and spas. You can also help your garden look its best with plants, seeds and bulbs as well as outdoor lights and lawn care options.

Delivery
Homebase offers a number of delivery options.
Standard Delivery is usually offered with delivery expected within 5 days. This can change depending on your postcode, with couriers sometimes taking a little longer to reach some locations.
Next Day Delivery is available for selected items. You may have the option to select a delivery day, subject to availability. To get next day delivery you must place your order before 4pm Sunday - Friday.
Delivery to store is an option if the product you need isn't currently in stock at your local store. This usually takes 2 days.
For bulky items like kitchens and bathrooms, delivery will be arranged after your purchase with one one of the delivery partners.
Delivery costs start at £6.
Returns
Homebase offers returns within 30 days of delivery or receipt. They won't be able to offer refunds on perishable goods like plants or made to measure products. The easiest and fastest way to return an item is to take it to your local Homebase store. However, if this isn't an option you can contact Homebase and they will arrange a pick up.
