Acer, originally known as Multitech was founded in 1976 by Stan Shih,Carolyn Yeh and George Huang. Originally they were a distributor of electronics parts. Then, in 1981 they produced the MPF-1, it was a teaching tool designed to teach the fundamentals of machine code
It wasn’t until 1987 that they changed their name to Acer. By 2021 they employed 7713 people, a big leap from the 11 the company started with.

Acer produce a wide range of laptops using both Intel,AMD and ARM processors. As well as selling them direct, they are also available from most electrical retailers in the UK.

As well as laptops they also manufacture a wide range of desktops. Everyday, gaming, towers, All-in-ones and professional.

As you'd expect Acer also sell monitors, they range in size from 23.5 inch all the way up to a tasty 43 inches.
