Now known to officially kick off the Christmas shopping period, Black Friday has continued to gain popularity and momentum over recent years. It leads to some of the highest discounts of the year and retailers have continuously hand picked the must have Christmas gifts to have the highest discounts. Black Friday falls straight after Thanksgiving, on the Last Friday of November. The deals continue over the weekend and roll into Cyber Monday, another day you can expect to fantastic time sensitive offers. Black Friday falls on November 29th in 2020, with some promotions kicking off at midnight online and as early as 8am in-store. Last year many retailers opted to have a Black Friday week rather than one day to spread the load on their website and warehouse so expect it all to kick off on Monday 25th November
Amazon: An obvious contender and known as one of the first retailers to fully promote Black Friday, Amazon have become famous for their "Lightning Deals" over the whole black friday week. Deals can be stock or time sensitive, so always be sure to see what deals are coming up in advance to avoid disappointment!
Ebay: In 2019 Ebay fully arrived on the Black Friday scene. As well as spectacular daily deals on some of the most popular Christmas must haves, expect individual Ebay stores to have some of the lowest prices you'll see.
Currys: When you think Black Friday and electricals, you automatically think Currys. In recent years we've seen price drops of up to £100 and beyond on white goods and electronics. A must visit if you're shopping for a new television or washing machine this year. Look out for the little graph symbol we have on all products, if this is green then the item is the cheapest it's ever been (click on the graph for more detail)
Argos: Whilst not normally known for huge Black Friday promotions, In 2019 Argos showed massive price cuts across all categories, this is a first visit for us in terms of toy and electrical discounts. We expect big things in 2020.
Black Friday promotions are kept under wraps until the last possible minute, so be sure to check Offeroftheday throughout the week to be kept up to date on the biggest price drops as they happen.
