About WORX

WORX is a brand of cordless and electric power tools and garden equipment owned by Positec Tool Corporation, a global manufacturer founded in 1994 by Don Gao in Suzhou, China. Positec began as an OEM supplier producing tools for major brands including Black & Decker before launching WORX as its own consumer brand in 2004. The first flagship product was the WORX GT, a lightweight cordless grass trimmer that became a best-seller and defined the brand's approach of combining innovation with accessibility.

Positec's North American headquarters are in Charlotte, North Carolina, while European operations - including the UK - are managed from the continent. UK operations are based in Newbury, Berkshire. All WORX tools purchased in the UK come with a standard 2-year warranty. Registering your product on the WORX website within 30 days of purchase extends the warranty to 3 years on 20V tools. Batteries are covered by a separate 1-year warranty.
