Aosom History

Aosom (pronounced "awesome") was founded in 2009 as an e-commerce retailer of affordable home goods, outdoor products, fitness equipment and pet supplies. The company is headquartered in Oregon, USA, with its UK operation — trading as Aosom UK and operated by MH Star UK Ltd — having been active since 2012. The UK business is based in London and operates five warehouses across the country to serve UK and Irish customers. Aosom ships more than 1.1 million parcels monthly worldwide, supported by over 25 warehouses and more than 7.3 million square feet of warehouse space globally.

Aosom UK operates across six own brands — HOMCOM, Outsunny, PawHut, Vinsetto, kleankin and DURHAND — covering a wide range of home, garden, pet and office categories. Products are sold directly through aosom.co.uk as well as via Amazon, eBay, Wayfair and Groupon.

Rattan garden furniture sets, dining sets, gazebos, parasols, greenhouses, garden sheds, garden storage, garden lighting, fire pits and barbecues.

Home furniture (HOMCOM)

Sofas, armchairs, TV units, coffee tables, bookcases, storage cabinets, dining furniture, beds and bedroom furniture, home office desks and shelving.

Pet supplies (PawHut)

Dog kennels and cages, cat trees, rabbit hutches, bird cages, pet beds, pet strollers and puppy playpens.

Office furniture (Vinsetto)

Office chairs, ergonomic chairs, standing desks and office storage.

Bathroom (kleankin)

Bathroom cabinets, vanity units, shower enclosures, bathroom accessories and storage.

Tools and garage (DURHAND)

Common Aosom Questions

Does Aosom offer an NHS or key worker discount?

Aosom does not currently offer an NHS or military discount scheme. There is no Blue Light Card or Health Service Discounts partnership. The best ways to save are the newsletter welcome discount (10% off when you spend over £99 on subscribing), the student discount via Student Beans, and the referral scheme (£5 off per successful referral).

Does Aosom offer a student discount?

Yes. Aosom UK offers a 12% student discount via Student Beans (Pion) on selected products. Visit the Aosom student discount page at aosom.co.uk and verify your student status through Student Beans to receive your code.

How does Aosom delivery work?

Aosom UK offers free delivery to UK mainland addresses on all orders. Smaller items typically arrive within 1–2 working days; larger items take 2–5 working days. Aosom also offers an on-time delivery guarantee: if your order arrives after the guaranteed date shown in your order confirmation, you can claim a £5 voucher for your next order via the guarantee claim form (registered accounts only; exclusions apply).

What is Aosom's returns policy?

Aosom has a 30-day returns policy. Contact customer services first to obtain returns instructions before sending anything back. Once items are received and checked, refunds are processed within 14 days. Faulty electrical items are covered for 12 months from delivery; non-electrical items for 6 months. Within the first 30 days of delivery, Aosom will offer a refund, partial refund or replacement; after 30 days and within the warranty period, replacement parts or a full replacement will be arranged where possible.

Does Aosom offer a loyalty programme?

Yes. Aosom has a points scheme where you earn 1 point per £1 spent (each point is worth £0.01). Points can be used to reduce the cost of future orders, up to 1,000 points (£10) per order, provided they do not exceed 30% of the order value after discounts. Points expire after one year. There are also three membership tiers in the Aosom Members Club offering exclusive offers, monthly prize draws and extended return or warranty periods.

Can I pay in instalments at Aosom?

Yes. Aosom UK supports Clearpay and PayPal Pay Later at checkout, allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase over instalments. Standard eligibility criteria and terms apply for both services.
