The experts at Offeroftheday give FatFace an overall rating of 4.2/5
FatFace mainly focuses on high quality clothing. They are known to provide hard wearing and long lasting products. Their selection of knits, jumpers and coats are particularly strong and you can find a hand size guide on their website. FatFace can be known to be quite an expensive brand, and while this can be true we find there is often a sale or promotion on, meaning if you time it well enough you'll rarely need to pay full RRP.
FatFace delivery is tracked through EVRi. While EVRi are not our favourite courier, we love that even the standard delivery options provided by FatFace are tracked. You can also get Express delivery. From what we can see FatFace don't offer specific Next Day delivery, and also do not currently offer international deliveries.
The FatFace delivery period is 30 days, or 15 days for sale items. They often extend this over Christmas to account for the time the products spend under the tree! Returns are free and easy, and you can post your items back via EVRi or Royal Mail. You can also return your products directly to your local FatFace store.
Fatface has a very easy to use customer services interface. The information is clear and we love the live chat function. While it can be a bit annoying to talk to a virtual assistant when you want to talk to a human advisor, we found the artificial assistant connected us to an advisor relatively quickly once it realised it couldn't answer our questions. You can also ring FatFace directly which is a method of contact many people prefer. Overall general user reviews speak positively of the effectiveness and politeness of the advisors.
FatFace is very proud of its efforts to become sustainable. They have reduced their carbon footprint by 8% over the past 2 years (as of Oct 2022), they've switched their bags to recycled plastic and their online delivery bags are now paper. All UK stores now have a textile recycling collection box, with the aim to reduce the global impact of garments sent to landfill. By 2025 FatFace aims to be carbon neutral, achieving this by reducing CO2 emissions by at least 40% and offsetting the remainder by planting trees and supporting other projects. They also aim for 100% of the energy powering their stores and offices to come from renewable sources.
Founded in 1988 by Tim Slade and Jules Leaver, FatFace was originally inspired by the name of a black mountain ski run in Le Face. The business originally started as a means to fund the founders skiing, but has continued to grow into one of the most recognised high street brands in the UK. In 2007 FatFace was acquired for £360 million and was going to be floated onto the London Stock Exchange, but this was ultimately cancelled due to lack of confidence by prospective stockholders. FatFace was subject to a ransomware attack in 2021, paying $2 million to the cyber criminals to recover data. FatFace has teamed with a number of brands like Raleigh to deliver new collections.
Find the perfect look for all seasons with the FatFace collection of clothing. Enjoy your time outdoors with lightweight layers and waterproof jackets, or warm up with cosy hoodies. There's a wide selection of knits and jumpers and this is one of our favourite categories. We also love their selection of dresses, with both light Summer styles and warm thick material winter designs. There's a wide range of jeans, tops and swimwear. Don't forget to check out the collection of pyjamas and nightwear for those chilly Winter nights.
Whether you're looking for your new favourite jumper or a comfy, durable pair of jeans, FatFace has a great selection for men. One highlight is the selection of shirts. Choose from different designs like print, plain and check shirts. Plus, complete the look with overshirts and wave goodbye to short reaching sleeves with the tall collection. The nightwear collection is also large with comfy and soft outfits as well as furry warm slippers. You'll also see promotions often on things like socks and underwear.
Shop complete looks for babies, girls and boys. We love the selection of very cute and cosy onesies and pramsuits, but you'll also find a number of babywear gift sets and puddlesuits. Keep the kids warm with coats, jumpers, trousers and swimwear. There are some great styles all year round but we have to single out the Autumn collections as particularly worthwhile.
Perhaps not immediately known for homeware, FatFace have a great selection of bedding sets and cost. Add a finishing touch to your outfit with belts and jewellery and you can even get the dogs prepared for the wet weather with coats! The bath and body collection makes for great gifts all year round for that special someone.
Find a range of sturdy Chelsea boots, hiker boots and fashionable riding boots. Hit the streets in casual footwear with some really cool leather trainer styles. Where FatFace shows off is in their collection of slippers. Whether you're looking for slipper boots or want something more classic, you'll find more than enough options for style and material.
