Notino History

Notino was founded in 2004 by Michal Zámec in Brno, Czech Republic, with a clear vision: to make premium beauty products accessible to everyone across Europe. Zámec identified a gap in the market for an online fragrance retailer at a time when e-commerce was still in its infancy, and the company quickly grew from a specialist perfume e-shop into a full-service beauty retailer. Deloitte recognised Notino as one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in Central and Eastern Europe for three consecutive years.

Today Notino is Europe's largest online beauty and fragrance retailer, operating in 28 countries and serving over 20 million customers. The company is headquartered in Brno and operates a highly automated distribution centre capable of dispatching up to 180,000 packages per day. In 2023 Notino recorded a turnover of over €1 billion. As well as its online stores, Notino has expanded into a chain of physical beauty boutiques across Central and Eastern Europe. The company prides itself on stocking only authentic, genuine products from over 1,500 official brand partners.

Notino's flagship category. An enormous range of men's and women's fragrances from luxury designer houses including Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermès and Armani, alongside niche and independent fragrance brands. Gift sets, travel sizes and fragrance discovery boxes are all available.

Skincare

A comprehensive skincare range covering cleansers, moisturisers, serums, SPF, eye creams and specialist treatments from brands including La Roche-Posay, Estée Lauder, Clinique, The Ordinary, Shiseido and ELEMIS.

Makeup

Foundations, lipsticks, mascaras, eyeshadow palettes, concealers and more from brands including Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, MAC, Maybelline, NYX and L'Oréal Paris.

Haircare

Shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, styling products and hair tools from brands including GHD, Olaplex, Wella, Kerastase and L'Oréal Professionnel.

Men's grooming

Aftershaves, deodorants, shaving products and skincare for men from brands including Hugo Boss, Davidoff, Gillette and Biotherm Homme.

Discovery boxes and samples

Notino offers curated discovery boxes containing five fragrance or beauty samples for around £5–£6, allowing customers to try products before committing to full-size purchases. A "Try It First" service is also available on selected fragrances.

When is the Notino sale?

Notino runs sales throughout the year including seasonal events, a permanent clearance section, and regular weekly special offers. The app often carries exclusive discounts of up to 30% off on top of other promotions. Signing up to the Notino newsletter gives access to exclusive codes and early sale notifications.

Does Notino offer an NHS discount?

Notino does not currently offer a dedicated NHS or key worker discount scheme. However, Notino regularly runs promotional codes offering significant savings — often 15–30% off — and the loyalty programme provides ongoing rewards on every purchase. Does Notino offer a student discount?

Notino does not currently have a permanent student discount scheme, though student-specific promotions and discount codes are occasionally available via Student Beans. Signing up to the Notino newsletter is the best way to receive discount codes applicable to all customers including students.

What is Notino's returns policy?

Notino offers a 90-day returns guarantee on unused and unopened products — one of the most generous in the beauty retail sector. Returns within 14 days are free of charge. Items opened or tested may not be eligible for return due to hygiene reasons. Notino also offers a "Try It First" fragrance service where a sample is included so you can test before opening the full-size bottle.

Does Notino offer free delivery?

Free delivery is available on selected products (marked on product pages) and for loyalty programme members. Standard delivery starts from £2.99 via Evri or DPD, with orders typically arriving within 3–4 working days. Free delivery is also available when certain brand spending thresholds are met.

Are Notino products genuine?

Yes. Notino stocks only authentic, genuine products sourced directly from official brand distributors. The company sells over 55,000 products from more than 1,500 brands and is an authorised retailer for all brands it carries. This is a commonly asked question as Notino's prices are frequently lower than high street RRP due to the company's purchasing scale and low operating costs as primarily an online retailer.
