November is the cheapest month to buy a washing machine in the UK, driven by Black Friday deals that spread across the whole month rather than a single day. Our data shows an average discount of 17.8% in November against each machine's highest recorded price. August is a close second at 17.5% — an often overlooked month when retailers quietly clear the previous model year ahead of new autumn ranges arriving, with far less competition from other shoppers than Black Friday.

March is the worst month to buy, averaging just 7.2% despite being the busiest month for price changes. Those changes are mostly prices going up as new model ranges launch. If you are in March and can hold on, wait until August at the very least.

LG offers the deepest average discounts of any major washing machine brand, averaging 18.9% off across our seven years of price tracking, with individual machines dropping by as much as 62%. Hisense and Haier also discount heavily. At the other end, Miele (9.6%) and Siemens (8.5%) hold their prices much more firmly — if you want one, the Black Friday period is your best chance of a meaningful saving.

At the other extreme, Hotpoint takes an average of 187 days to reach a 10% reduction, Hoover takes 262 days, and Miele is the slowest of all the major brands.
