Now anyone can grow juicy, fresh Vics, even on a balcony, terrace or small patio. Clever fruit tree grower Will Sibley has teamed the ever-popular best-selling 'Victoria' with a very dwarfing and compact new VVA1 rootstock which removes most of the vigour that can sometiomes be the downfall of plums, creating 'Little Vic'....

• DETAILS - Supplied as an established tree, 70cm (2½ ft) tall grown on an St Julien dwarfing rootstock in a 4.5L pot, growing to a height and spread of 2m (6½ ft).
• CARE - Apply slow release fertiliser in early spring and mulch to retain moisture. Thin out fruits in May. Water regularly - if in a pot don't let the soil dry out.
• PERFECT IN POTS - This small fruit tree only ever reaches 1.2M (4ft) tall in 7-10 years, so stays small enough for balconies and patios where it can be planted in large pots.
• SMALL TREE LARGE CROPS - This variety will still produces masses of full size fruits. This self-fertile fruit tree will produce pretty white blossom in Spring followed by fruit in July and August.
• VICTORIA PLUM - A smaller version of the ever popular Victoria Plum, Lil Vic has been created using a dwarfing rootstock which makes this tree suitable for even small gardens.
