Carbon construction helps keep weight down while providing a responsive ride, making the bike suitable for routes that mix tarmac, gravel tracks and rougher unpaved sections.Shimano's gravel-specific GRX components provide a 2x12-speed drivetrain. An RX820 Shadow+ rear derailleur is paired with an RX820 front derailleur, RX610 shift/brake levers and an RX610 two-piece crankset. The two-chainring setup provides a broad spread of gears while keeping the jumps between ratios relatively small, useful when maintaining a comfortable cadence over long and varied routes.The Shadow+ rear derailleur helps control chain movement when riding over rough surfaces, reducing chain slap and helping keep the drivetrain secure. A Shimano GRX CS-HG710 12-speed cassette and CN-M7100 chain complete the drivetrain.Shimano GRX RX410 hydraulic disc brakes use two-piston callipers with 160mm rotors front and rear. Designed specifically around drop-bar riding, they provide controlled braking for managing speed on loose gravel, steeper descents and in changing weather conditions.Lapierre Gravel 700C wheels use 25mm rims and are tubeless ready, giving you the option of converting to a tubeless setup. This can allow lower tyre pressures for improved comfort and traction on rough surfaces, while sealant can help deal with smaller punctures.Continental Terra Trail tyres come in a generous 45mm width, giving the Crosshill plenty of tyre volume for gravel riding. Their pronounced tread provides additional grip on loose and uneven surfaces compared with a road tyre, while Continental's ShieldWall construction adds puncture protection for rides that take you further away from smooth tarmac.The Lapierre drop handlebar features 12mm of rise, giving the bike a gravel-focused cockpit suited to longer rides and mixed terrain. An XLC 27.2mm seatpost and Prologo Akero saddle complete the contact points.The Crosshill CF 5.0 is particularly suited to riders who don't want their gravel bike restricted to short rides close to home.
