Complete Unity Yoga History

Complete Unity Yoga was founded by Will Fisher and Malene Vedel, a couple who are both qualified yoga teachers with thousands of hours of yoga teacher training and teaching experience. The inspiration for the business came in 2016, when Will and Malene spent a year living in a yoga ashram at the foothills of the Himalayas in India, teaching, studying and practising yoga intensively. During that time they grew increasingly frustrated by the poor quality and environmental impact of the yoga equipment on the market — the vast majority of products were made from oil-derived plastics, poorly constructed and lacking in design care.

Returning to the UK, Will and Malene set out to create something better: an eco-friendly yoga equipment brand where every product would be made from natural, sustainable materials by people who actually practise yoga and understand what practitioners need. Complete Unity Yoga Ltd was formally incorporated in April 2018 and is based in Lode, Cambridgeshire. The company is entirely family-run and has since grown to become one of the UK’s leading sustainable yoga equipment brands, with its products and story featured in The Guardian, The Times and Vogue.
