fridges - Energy ratings

The energy rating scheme for Fridges changed in March 2021. The old A+++ rating have now gone and have been replaced by a simpler A - G rating. This is because Fridges were becoming a lot more efficient so nearly everything was rated A something.

The energy standard to reach A is now very high. Currently the very best Fridges are rated B.

Fridges styles

Fridges come in many different styles. The American style has two tall doors on either side and usually have an ice maker. These tend to be more expensive to run because of the size. There are also under counter and free standing. These tend to come in white as standard but are often available in stainless and graphite finishes too. Finally there are built-in Fridges these require you to provide a door to match them into the rest of your kitchen cuboards.
