The RT001GZ21 is a compact and lightweight cordless Trimmer, powered by 40V Max XGT battery (not included) to supply energy to the powerful 40V brushless motor, with soft start for smooth start-ups, variable speed controlled by dial and constant speed control to automatically apply additional power to the motor to maintain constant speed under load, to deliver up to 1,160W maximum output and 10,000 to 31,000 rpm for optimal performance in heavy duty applications. The RT001GZ21 is equipped with a switch type button with lock-on function for continuous use and push button switch with lock-off button to minimise accidental start-up, electric brake for increased operator safety and anti-restart function to minimise motor start-up when the battery is inserted with the switch locked on. RT001GZ21 is fitted with an aluminium base for increased accuracy and durability for a longer service life, flat top for extra stability when changing bits, quick and easy removable base for installing optional bases and twin LED job lights with pre-glow and after-glow functions to illuminate the cutting edge. The RT001GZ21 features soft brake; the gentle stop of the RT001GZ01 reduces damage to the work material, dust collection (forced dust collection); connectable to a Makita Vacuum Cleaner with an optional dust nozzle and also Auto-start Wireless System (AWS) to connect to a compatible Makita Vacuum Cleaner with Bluetooth; chip 198900-7 required, sold separately. RT001GZ21 is compatible with bases for the Makita DRT50 Trimmer.
