Acer History

Acer, originally known as Multitech was founded in 1976 by Stan Shih,Carolyn Yeh and George Huang. Originally they were a distributor of electronics parts. Then, in 1981 they produced the MPF-1, it was a teaching tool designed to teach the fundamentals of machine code

It wasn't until 1987 that they changed their name to Acer. By 2021 they employed 7713 people, a big leap from the 11 the company started with.
